On Saturday, October 3, 2020, we held the “Shimoji Island VFR” flight event as SHA’s first event.
At first
The event was held using the multiplayer feature of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, and each participant gathered at Shimojijima Airport. Everyone flew VFR to New Ishigaki Airport at the same time.
The Event
The event was held using our Discord voice channel, and everyone enjoyed lively conversation as we headed for Ishigaki Island at a free altitude and speed. (The image was taken by Airoleo.)
More than 10 planes joined us and all landed safely at the New Ishigaki Airport. Some of the participants were not satisfied with the flight and joined us after a touch-and-go, and they enjoyed the flight in their own way.
Conclusion
We have created an event to fly with you in multiplayer. Next time, we will build an event about IFR flight with ATC as well.
